I had seen first time comb duck with molluscs. in beak, is it regular food for comb duck?although seen this yr in bhuj many time to open bill stork behaving like this. see in this picture comb duck had catched the molluscs.from water and going towards small island to break or feed.see remaining parts (waste) of molluscs. and see some stones on island.(possibly comb duck or other birds may have hammered( or used the stones) to break the molluscs.i had not seen.). kutch gujarat india 5th jan 2013 |
