Demoiselle Crane

Demoiselle cranes are the smallest members of the crane family. They are birds of dry grasslands, but stay within reach of water. They feed on plants, grass seeds, insects, and grains,they travel vast distances without landing to rest or feed.The graceful appearance of this bird involves numerous comparisons between beautiful women and this crane, they keep the same partner for life, as long as the female continues to produce chicks.
