(delhibirdpix) Gull Flock

About a tenth of the massive flock of gulls at Pitrodi in Udupi (Karnataka, India).

On 06 Jan 2013 - most of these flocks comprise of about 80% Brown-headed Gulls, 10% Slender-billed Gulls, 5% Black-headed Gulls, 5% - other "big" gulls and terns - usually Caspian, Common, and Gull-billed; since other tern species make their own massive flocks.

Here, inset shows 4 small crops of the 4 species that are part of this section of the flock.
