Hi,
A Purple Sunbird busy sipping nectar from a red-powder-puff flower (Calliandra haematocephala).They are so fond of these flowers! It was interesting ( funny too ) to watch it wiping off every tiny drop of nectar from its bill with much care after finishing its 'drink' :-).
Shot at Panchla, West Bengal, India on 19th Jan 2013.
