Sharing an image of Juv. Imperial Eagle, taken on 1st day of the year, 1st Jan 2013 at Little Rann of Kutchh...
This is a full frame image taken with Nikon 500mm lens + 2x TC on D7000...
We saw two birds, both Juv Eastern Imperial Eagle's and two Juv. Steppe's, they had finished polishing off a common crane, possibly weakened and affected by consuming some fertilizer after feeding in near by fields. We found another Crane near by which was still alive but unable to stand on its feet. No wonder this Eagles were hanging around.
