[BirdPhotoIndia] The amazing neck of the Spot-breasted Woodpecker

A lot has be written about how the Wryneck can turn its head 180 deg, it even gets its name for that ability.. but I have seen most woodpeckers do the same and more.
Here is a Spot-breasted Woodpecker (Dendrocopus analis) not just turning its head 180deg in one axis but for good measure added another 90deg in another axis while continuing pecking at the same machine gun speed. Totally amazing  ability
