[BirdPhotoIndia] Grey Francolin

Ordinarily, Francolins are shy. I have seen them scooting from vehicles even inside protected areas, and certainly do not allow approach on foot.

Kapur Chand Kulish Smriti Van is a dry deciduous forest patch in Jaipur, Rajasthan- contiguous with Jhalana Reserve Forest block. Aroun 8 years back it was done up as a public park with some walking trails and stuff and is an extremely pleasant place and popular among city dwellers as a place for walking, exercising etc. Some morning walker, drop crumbs on rocks and birds feed. With a bit of patience, one could see these Teetars come out and peck away, but always wary.
