An hour after the Rufous-necked Hornbill pair had met the needs of the nest, the male flew away, followed by the female who landed on a tree pretty far away from where I stood. She started calling and soon the male landed on a branch just above her. His next move was to drop down to sit beside her, offering ever so gently, a berry he held in his beak. She accepted it. This ritual took place thrice.
