(delhibirdpix) Chestnut-crowned Warbler

Species: Chestnut-crowned Warbler
Date: 02 April 2013
Location: Garibas (~2620m), Singalila National Park, India
Remarks: At Garibas area of the Singalila National Park, the Chestnut-crowned Warblers were seen in company with few Whistler's Warblers and were found hovering in the oak tree canopies at the mountain side of the path; beside the thriving young, dense bamboo shoots in the ravine, the bamboo being only intermittently interrupted by lean tall stumps of few other trees, inside which we saw a flock of Golden-breasted Fulvettas quickly disappear somewhere deep in the labyrinthine alleys of the bamboo shoots. Soon a flock of four Yellow-browed Tits were founding few meters away feeding in the undergrowth beside the bamboo. All species were seen within minutes of each other at this moment. A comfortably sunny day, with the wind at its minimum during the morning and high bird activity.
