Experts plz confirm this bird as European golden plover(Pluvialis apricaria).
Attaining breeding plumage
Seen on 28-05-13 in Pong Wetland as a passage migrant.
Points in favour are-
1 Pure extensive white in median and greater coverets. (as clear in pic no.1 2& 3 )
2 shorter legs as toes didn't project beyond tail.(as clear in pic3 & 4)
3 primaries just reaching tail tips.(as clear in pic 5 )
4 short tertials exposing more primaries (pic 5, not sure about it).
5 comparing to pacific golden plover, it looks bulkier.
can't comment on large head, shorter bill and neck.
