(delhibirdpix) Rain Quail || Female

The call of the Rain Quails were heard in plenty at the GIB Santuary... this female was closely pursued by 2 Males and looked un-interested / un-impressed with their cries ! She continued her move through the grass and feeding on the way.

While it rained Rain quails... the heavy rains may be the reason the GIB didn't show up the day I was there !

Species : Rain Quail - Coturnix coromandelica
Location : Nannaj, Great Indian Bustard Sanctuary, Near Solapur, Maharastra, India
Equipment : Canon 1DM4, 300mm F/2.8 with 2x converter.
