[BirdPhotoIndia] Chatak - The Rain Bird

Pied Cuckoo in Rajarhat, Calcutta- 1.9.13

Indian mythology tells us of  the Chatak being a harbinger of rains and that it has a beak on its head that waits for the rains to quench its thirst.
In this particular shot the crest does give the impression of an open beak !
