Dear friends Festive season is very close and our  feathered friends (OWLS) are preparing for nesting .In India they are sacrificed in many states by Black Magicians .Bigger Owls are more vulnerable and fetch more money. Pls keep a vigil in and around your area where they are sold for such rituals. I am posting few owls usually seen in NCR . I have seen Brown Fish Owl also in NCR . There is one photogrphic record of Mottled Wood Owl ( YBP) By Faiyaz & another record of Oriental Scops Owl ( Rufous Morph) by Janki from Palam. Interestingly Vineeta,Janaki and self had re-scanned the same area but could not see the pair. Apart from these species if anyone has seen any other species within NCR in last 10 years pls add to it.
