Hi all

Watching the long-tailed minivets flying through the canopy with their
excited calls is a really thrilling sight. We saw several pairs at
Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary on that day (January 13, 2013).

Also, unlike most bird species where the male hogs all the attention
of birdwatchers with his bright colours, the female long-tailed
minivet can hold her own against the male in terms of beauty.

Well, ....... almost.

Seeing them together is an exciting sight - the red of the male
contrasting with the yellow of the female. They definitely look like a
'Made for Each Other' couple.
