(delhibirdpix) Paddyfield Warbler

Species: Paddyfield Warbler - Acrocephalus agricola – Young Adult

Date: 4.11.2013

Location:  Basai Wetlands, Gurgoan, Haryana, India

Habitat: Submerged Narrow Leaf Cat-tail plants Typha angustifolia.

Status: Least Concern

Remarks: Frequent visitors, these birds effected mid-storey of the reeds, working their way upwards, often leaping in the air while changing position. The habit of flicking tails often and raising crown feathers were observed. The image here is of an individual in fresh plumage, with brighter rufous-brown crown, white throat and light orange sides and belly
