(delhibirdpix) Sociable Plovers in Kutch 24 th Jan 2014

They are showing strong site fidelity to their foraging grounds generally seen in one area for 20 days or so and than move to habitat which can be 3-4 kms away or just few hundred metres away. They forage on insects and can scrape the ground by one rubbing the ground by one feet moving their body like a see-saw.

Seen 8 Sociables today. This year November till Jan 19 Sociable Plovers are seen in Banni.
