Hi,
-- This image of a Slaty-backed Flycatcher was photographed at Rabindra Sarobar, Kolkata, India on 15th Feb, 2014. It had a vibrant rufous colour on its breast and two shades of grey on its back. It was quite confiding and mostly roaming on two trees showing a clear preference of its territory. There were some funny moments when it showed a sudden spurt of excitement in the vicinity of a female Red-throated Flycatcher. The Red-throated Flycatcher was chirping continuously when the Slaty-backed Flycatcher was chasing it.
Thanks and regards,
Maitreyee
