Porzana fusca GRUIFORMES: Rallidae Remarks :The Ruddy Breasted Crake was a treat to see. Thanks to Abhishek Gulshan who had seen the Crake on earlier visits. He suggested we just sit barely 12-15 feet away from a white bag containing some whitish product which the Crake was eating in all its visit which were every 2 to 3 mins. The Crake a very shy bird, we were surprised that the Ruddy was not bothered that five of us were within 15 feet. As long as we did not walk around the Crake seemed quite disinterested in us. A lovely morning watching the Crake which was also the lifer for me.
