Species: Fire-capped Tit – Cephalopyrus flammiceps – Male in breeding Plumage
Date: 16th May 2014.
Location: Eastern ridge of River Bhilangana, Uttrakhand, India
Coordinates: 30.3302°N, 78.5110°E. Altitude: 3145 Masl.
Habitat : Sub - Alpine Zone at tree line
Status: Least Concern.
Remarks: A pair was sighted on consecutive days (possibly same birds), foraging the bronzed foliage of gregariously thriving, tall Kharsu Oak (Quercus semicarpifolia) trees.
