Dear friends these passerine gregarious birds were abundant once in 'DELHI' up to the end of 1990 everywhere but now have restricted to very few pockets in Delhi Najafgarh drain & Bhatti mines are still good place to see these yellow beauties. I posted in this group in early 2000 about it's sighing ( Large Group Only) and got only one reply from Sajeev T.K. who sighted it in Badkal lake. They are seen by Delhi birders on and off either solitary or a very small groups. I had written an article in 2006 or 7 on this issue . Habitat loss and lack of nesting material has forced them to go to the periphery of 'DELHI' . Here I am exclusively focusing on Delhi and not 'NCT' . I need inputs from my learned friends how often you see their large flocks now a days in 'Delhi' ? Please share with me. This solitary male was sighted in Asola on 28th June.
