It was my last day in Lava. I packed my bags and decided to do some birding in the outskirts of the town. I walked along a desolate road that goes towards lower Rishap from Lava bazar, and reached a large leafless tree where many birds were coming. They were all at eye level. Yuhinas and Rufous Sibias were having their last meal before sundown, Blue-winged Sivas were chattering in the roadside bushes, and a White-tailed Nuthatch moved up n down along the trunk. Suddenly this beautiful bird came flying from the lower forested valleys, and perched on a branch only a few metres from the road. Earlier i had seen this bird at Kolakham, but coudnt get any decent shot. But this individual gave me some photo opportunity.
