On 23rd Oct'14, we left Pungro (east Nagaland) for Kohima very early in the morning and just before arriving at Chomi ( 17 km from Pungro) we kept searching for the Yellow-throated Laughingthrush as suggested by Shashank Dalvi. Thick mist covered the roads, you could barely see even four feet away. Then some movement on the roadside and the chatter of at least fifty birds to which many more joined. Never seen such a huge flock of laughingthrushes. Of course had to dip heavily on good shots. In Pungro we got the Ashy/Moushtached Laughingthrush but were denied photographs. Missed out on the White-browed LT, a loss compensated by the Spot-breasted Parrotbill.
-- Other group members were Sushmita, Krishnan and Sunita and we were accompanied by Angulie Meyase.
