(delhibirdpix) Crested Serpent Eagle!

Hi everyone,

So I was just strolling in my backyard this morning when a large raptor in the sky caught my attention. I quickly grabbed my camera and ran towards my terrace. By now the raptor had moved further away but still, I could confirm it as a Crested Serpent Eagle!

These birds were earlier considered vagrants in Delhi and NCR. But records from recent years suggest that its a scarce but regular passage migrant/winter visitor through the area.

Also, a CSE had camped outside my house for about 25 days during March-April this year.
