Hi everyone,
Manish and I did some birding on the IIT Delhi campus this morning along with several other students and managed to add a couple of species to the ever growing list of birds seen on campus. It was great to see 20+ Yellow Wattled Lapwings spread out all over the various playing fields. This endemic species seems to be declining in other parts of the country. A Hume's Whitethroat, Black Redstart, White Wagtails etc. were kind enough to give views. A Green Sandpiper bobbed its tail excitedly at a drain. We wrapped up our walk with the sighting of an obliging Ashy Drongo!
