It is not often that one gets to click these beautifully coloured birds with a 'clean background;

and the light coming from just the right angle to highlight the iridescence.

Got this on at the recently found wetlands at Dhanauri Kalan, (50 KMs SSE of Delhi),

Greater Noida, U.P., India on 15th November 2014.
