Friends I have encountered many such pet birds in Delhi and Haryana but am still of the opinion that these exotic species can't survive in outside world either on accidental escape or intentional religious release but practice to release continue. This poor budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus) visited my friends 6th floor house and settled in her balcony inside JNU Campus . To me it looks exhausted .
