Hello,
-- There were three of them, Dad, Mum and the child. All of them were busy and happily feeding on grass seeds on ground.Actually I had always seen them clinging on swaying grass stalks of medium height except this time.
It was fun watching them, especially the juvenile bird. Though it was enough mature and was feeding independently, just like us, at times could not get rid of its old habit or simply loved to beg for food from its mother who in turn, seemed to be too happy to fulfil more than her duties!
Here is one such moment.
Red Avadavat female and juvenile shot at Rajarhat,Kolkata, India.. photographed on 20th Dec 2014.
Regards,
Maitreyee
