(delhibirdpix) Deban Road Feast

During our recent trip to Assam and Arunachal (21-31 March 2015), we did Deban Road - the Arunachal end of the road leading to Namdhapa - three times, both on our way to and back from Arunachal.

This stretch starting from T-junction is a veritable feast; almost an embarrassment of riches. At one particular spot, there was a sudden burst of unbelievable birds. The stars amidst many other beautiful ones (like Ashy and White-throated Bulbuls, Minivets, Nuthatches, Greater-Necklaced Laughing Thrushes, etc.) were a flock of White-hooded Babblers; a pair of Pale-headed Woodpeckers (of which I have an apology of a shot); and a lone White-browed Scimitar Babbler calling away to glory. Here are the last three - the star starters!
