(delhibirdpix) The Migratory Waterfowl - # 16.04 - Garganey (Anas querquedula) 2015-065

Visited my favourite birding haunt - Dhanauri Kalan - on Sunday after two weeks.
The water is way too less as compared to end-May last year when we discovered
the Wetland.

Very few birds left.  Normally the last to leave - Garganeys - were there and a
lot more co-operative than usual.  Got to full frame distances.

The Rain Gods were playing hide and seek with Sun.  The Latter peeped
out in between to throw great morning light for Garganeys and Bar-Headed
Geese that showed up just as I was winding up to head back.

Garganey images and video link taken on 12th April, 2015 at

Cheers.
