(delhibirdpix) Steppe Eagle with pig prey, flight| nr Jorbeer, Bikaner, Rajasthan | 13 December 2014 | 2 + 2 pics

On the way to the Jorbeer Carcass dump which has now become a protected area we saw this Steppe Eagle with a prey which turned out to be a pig. Even though we were at quite a distance from the STeppe in a vehicle on the road and separated by a fence, the sharp eyes of the Steppe spotted us and it took flight.
