On my way from Kathgodam to Satoli yesterday, I was chatting to the taxi driver. When I told him that he should stop for birds if possible, he told me about the 'safed lambi poonch wala ( with a long white tail) bird ' he saw after the Tulla Ramgarh (Uttarakhand) bridge. When we reached that point - there they were - two male Asian Paradise Flycatchers sailing about. Watched them for a while - no photo ops. Then one of then flew down to the river, perched on an overhanging branch and started taking dips in the water and flying away. Did this 3-4 times and then flew away. I caught this in a very distant shot! Cropped.
