In the last 4-5 years the Indian Pitta has been spotted once a while in the NCR (National Capital Region) Delhi, just before or after summer. This year, the Pitta was first spotted at Najafgarh early this month, and immediately thereafter at Mangar. The one at Najafgarh could not be spotted again, but at Mangar, the Indian Pitta is showing up on almost all visits by the Delhi Birders. Today the group of birders spotted it with nesting material, indicating that it is possibly nesting here.
