Asian Emerald Cuckoo (female) at Jaguli, Nadia District of West Bengal, India on 3.10.15.
The bird is summer visitor to Eastern Himalayas, NE India and Bangladesh and winter visitor to Andaman. And it is treated as a rare bird in those area. How has it come to South of West Bengal? Can any expert put any light?
The Bird was perching at an outer branch of a tall canopy. Due to distance I could not get better image though it was remain at the same spot for 15-20 minutes preening its feathers.
