[BirdPhotoIndia] Two Lifers From Neora Valley

Was thrilled to see a bird that's made me wait a long time to finally manifest itself -  the Brown Parrotbill. There were three of them seen at the beginning of the walk to zero point.

The second lifer - a female White-browed Bush Robin - I am slightly doubtful about. Could be a female Golden Bush Robin except that this one has a rather pronounced white brow. Comments from experts are welcome.

The park was so bereft of birds - felt like John Keats's knight 'palely loitering' in a lifeless, desolate place where 'no birds sing' ( La Belle Dame Sans Merci ). Can one imagine getting to see just 15 types of birds in Neora in 8 hours and that too on a lovely clear day ? In fact all of Lava and its surroundings yielded very little. Obviously not a good time to be there.

Neora Valley NP, Lava, north Bengal, 23 Oct'15
