The Migratory Waterfowl and Waders have started arriving though not in large numbers
- perhaps the high temperature is keeping them away.
Hopefully, we see this year the numbers that the villagers have been repeatedly mentioning - lacs !
Sarus Crane is delighting. Of the 9 Nests, all seem to have hatched and the chicks are possibly
not yet tall enough to be seen over the Full Grown Paddy Crop and the Grass in the Wetland.
We were quite happy to see this - Parent and Child. Puja and other saw two chicks with this
Pair of Sarus when watching through a scope.
Later, WingCo and i spotted another chick - under attack from a persistent Marsh Harrier.
But, they survived with the parent taking the chick in to tall grass.
The Second Pair + Chick.
Enjoy.
