(delhibirdpix) The Migratory Passerines - # 04.09 - Common Stonechat (Saxicola torquata) - 2015-189

Dadri wetlands is missed and missed quite a bit.
We did hope against hope that there might be something in this season
and made a trip on 2nd October.

We just got a few birds on the way but nothing at the main wetland which is
mostly dry and  under cultivation now.  East side did have bit of water
but there is no access but  the Resident Sarus Pair did show itself up.

On way to Hasanpur, the area is under water and there were quite a few
Black-Tailed Godwits.  Prospects look good both for Waterfowl and Waders.

Lake itself had absolutely nothing to offer.

Here is a Common Stonechat - Female from Dadri on 2nd October 2015.

Cheers.
