Yet, one gets some jewels now and then.
I got this Common Hoopoe on 29th October 2015 while enoying cool breeze and mild sun. It came and perched
for a moment and it was giving a good phot-op by opening and closing the Crown and as I was waiting for the
right 'split second - 1/200 or so', the bully of the Sector, a Shikra, flew past and scared all the birds and i missed
the phot op.
Interesting - this is a resident and breeding species, it migrate up north in winters and west in summers as also
wears theCrown of National Bird of Israel.
