No trip to Dhanauri Kalan is complete without seeing and photographing Sarus Cranes.

The Breeding this season had been good - chicks are not being seen.  In the main Wetland,

itself 4 Pairs have 2+2+2+1 chicks - seen by Vikas and Rajiv on Saturday evening.

We saw two chicks and missed out on seeing two more (still hiding in the tall grass).  The Pair

stood its ground till we left after settling down for a good look at all the Ducks and me sitting

in the pristine location munching on fresh Water Chestnuts.
