Hi,
A rippling call , that reverberated through the forest at Gairibas, was like kirikirikirikiri..... Though people may laugh at me for describing calls like this but this was exactly what we heard there. The riddle was solved when we found this little White-tailed Nuthatch rendering it from a tall rhododendron tree. Sometimes it was flying away only to come back again within a few seconds , perch atop the same mossy vertical branch and sing its whole-hearted, full-throated,high-pitched, and continuous song for a long long time!
Regards,
Maitreyee
