Notes:
This Gem of a bird was first described by Blyth in 1844 and belongs to the family of timaliids or Old World babblers that represents one of the highest numbers of species in a family. The Golden Babbler is found in the dense undergrowth of humid tropical broadleaved forests.
Though not an uncommon bird in the right habitat and range, it is agonizingly difficult to photograph this brilliantly coloured bird due to its flitting behavior like most of the North-eastern skulkers and its habit to keep inside the tangle of bushes. However, just a sight of its Glistening Golden plumage is sufficient to give you a rush of excitement...
