(delhibirdpix) Jerdon's Bushlark (Mirafra affinis)?

I haven't seen any Bushlark more than 3 times in the past 8 months here, and definitely haven't had a chance to observe/photograph them - hence, I want to tread carefully as far as the is concerned. I think the tail is short enough, the beak big enough, upperparts streaked enough, and the face pattern undefined(?) enough to make it a Jerdon's. Of course, all that plus the range.

Nonetheless, would love ID confirmation. The call when perched was a "sweee" repeated 4 times and a weird trilling-like call that only a Lark can make and I can't describe ;-)

At Manipal, Karnataka, India on 22nd April 2010.

There is nothing in which the birds differ more from man than the way in which they can build and yet leave a landscape as it was before.
