11th May 2010 at Dibrugarh, Assam. Saw 4-5 of these birds. This one is waiting next to a dead dog (I think) floating in a small pond. The carcass is unable to bear the weight of the bird so they will have to wait for the water level to go down and the carcass to settle on the ground. Long wait with the kind of rain we are having.
