(delhibirdpix) Birding in Kolkata-2

My first two days in Kolkata were spent in New Alipore. There were Blue-throated Barbets galore. Saw wonderful displays by the Oriental Magpie Robin and Red-whiskered Bulbuls. Never seen them with wings down like a flycatcher. A WTKF suddenly appeared - as did the Civet cat which has made my host's home its own, after its habitat (the Port Trust Commissioner's residence with huge grounds) got destroyed for construction.

Images of the BT Barbet, Oriental MR, RW Bulbul and WTKF are attached.
Cheers!
Sushmita
