Hi,
Please excuse me if you find them monotonous but as the bird was too gorgeous I find it difficult to select from my images showing its different postures. Some is showing its lovely, velvetty,shiny, deep green crests and some other its blue lotus-petal like eyes that it seemed to have borrowed from our Lord Rama or Krishna ! I noticed that this Monal was walking and scraping the ground with its feet only on the muddy patches avoiding the ice-covered ground as much as possible, in stark contrast to the Bullfinches who were not only happy on the ice fields but were actually munching a mouthful of ice like school children!
