(delhibirdpix) Yellow-browed Bulbul

In Manipal, Karnataka (India) on 26 May 2011

Camera: Canon SX10 IS

Notes: Another bird with interesting movements in the region. I used to believe that the individuals seen here come down only when it rains in the Western Ghats, but a few areas (that I have discovered this season) seem to hold these birds more regularly. However, they too are seen for a few months with good numbers, and certain months - particularly the hot season from Feb to May, again, yield no sightings/calls whatsoever. They are also erratic during the monsoons but calls are often heard from the denser groves.

Cheers!
Ramit
