Rufous-necked Hornbill at its nesting site in Latpanchor, north Bengal. 29 Mar'13
The male sits waiting quite close to the nest while the female is inside the nest working on it ( beginning to seal it ? ) in preparation for her babies that would arrive soon. During the 45 minutes of the female being inside the nest, I saw the male flying to her and feeding her twice.
I was glad to see that the point from where we viewed these amazing birds is quite a distance away from the birds and their nest and if a respectful silence is maintained, we can enjoy studying the birds without disturbing them.
