This juvenile (?) Brown Dipper first appeared at the far end of the river, and slowly made its way towards us - dipping, preening, hopping on the rocks, making short flights. It was fascinating to see its white, droopy eyelids - something I had not noticed before in the Dippers I have seen. The bird hung around for more than an hour.
