Earmark one evening to spend time at by the Akash-Kamini-Mandakini confluence right at Negi's camp.
-- There are small pools of water by the shrubs on the bank, which enables birds to have a little drink or shower and quickly hop up to safety. Watching them do so was bliss!
Sitting/hiding amidst the boulders and riverside rocks, about two hours (of which the Brown Dipper took the lion's share), yielded, :
Brown Dipper
Emerald Dove
Spotted Forktail
Small Niltava
Black-chinned Babbler
Great Tit
Black-lored Tit
Crested Kingfisher
Common Kingfisher
Verditer Flycatcher
Citrine Wagtail
and many other more common birds, giving very close views and of course great photo opps.
Here are images of some.
