(delhibirdpix) Golden Bush Robin

My first sighting was of a beautiful and intrepid female which hopped around close by, despite being conscious of our presence. A splendid but shy male showed up the next morning, and continued to watch us equally, from behind leaves of the rhododendron bush it perched on. The male had given excellent sightings (and photos) to my birding mate, Yogish and Yashpal Negi during their walk up the previous day. Like the Monal, this beauty too seems to be a sure shot at Tungnath during this season.

On 16th and 17th May 2013, Tungnath, Uttarakhand.
