Four of us visited west and northwest Nagaland this week on the 2nd part of our bird survey. This region is not known for its birdlife and that coupled with some of the worst possible weather meant that there were few birds to see and fewer to make images of.
This prinia, which I feel is a Rufescent, was shot on the last day when there was some respite from the rains. The bird was very very far away and this crop is full size! Despite the distance I think it is an uncommon enough bird to be worth sharing.
Near Tuli, Nagaland earlier this week.
Cheers!
Sumit
